Terms of Use
Last updated: June 23, 2026
By using the CTS — Chiquetti Translation Services website or requesting our services, you agree to the terms below.
1. Services offered
CTS provides certified translation, notarization (notary public) and apostille services, with service in Portuguese and English, based in Orlando, Florida.
2. Translation accuracy
Our translations are performed by a credentialed translator and follow the standards required by institutions such as USCIS. We correct, at no cost, any error demonstrably attributable to CTS. Ambiguities present in the original document do not constitute a translation error.
3. CTS Certified Translation Guarantee
If USCIS rejects a document specifically due to an error in the certified translation (not for other process reasons, such as an incorrect form, incomplete documentation, or a policy change), CTS will re-translate the document at no cost. If the error is confirmed and the re-translation is not acceptable to the client, CTS will refund the translation service fee. This guarantee does not cover fees paid to USCIS, process delays, or case consequences (e.g., a missed visa deadline). It covers exclusively the value of the translation service provided by CTS.
4. Timelines
Stated timelines are estimates based on document volume and complexity. For apostille services, the timeline depends on the Florida Department of State and is outside CTS's control — delays caused by that agency do not entitle the client to a refund.
5. Notarization
Our Notary Public is certified by the State of Florida. Notarization requires identity verification as required by law.
6. Client responsibility
It is the client's responsibility to verify that the translated/notarized/apostilled document meets the specific requirements of the receiving institution. CTS does not guarantee acceptance of the document by third parties (agencies, universities, employers, etc.), except as provided under the CTS Certified Translation Guarantee (clause 3).
7. Confidentiality
We treat all documents with confidentiality, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
8. Limitation of liability
CTS's total liability, in any case, is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question. CTS is not responsible for indirect damages, missed visa deadlines, or other consequences arising from the client's use of the documents.
9. Force majeure
CTS will not be liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including government actions, natural disasters, third-party failures (postal services, government agencies), or internet/power outages.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States.
11. Changes
We may update these terms periodically. The last updated date will always be shown at the top of this page.
